A Special Thank You
To various donors, especially Miss Agnes Beteck Nkangha from the United Kingdom who has been supporting us since 2009. Miss Nkangha has been donating second hand clothes and shoes for both male and female aged between 0 and 17 years. These clothes are shipped from England every year. Besides the material items, Miss Nkangha also sends money for food items such as rice, vegetable oil, washing soap, books, pens, pencils, erasers rulers etc. The photos below shows some of the items that have been donated throughout the years.
We are also grateful to The Reverend Father Martin and Parishioners of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Catholic Church, Weston Super Mare, United Kingdom, who donated two hundred and fifty pounds.
The Two Hundred and fifty pounds was converted to Cameroon Francs and it gave us a total of One hundred and ninety two thousand and five hundred francs (192.500 frs) giving that one pound gave 770 francs. The money was used to purchase 4 bags of 50 kg of rice each, costing 17 000frs x 4 = 68 000 francs, one carton of tablet soap of 60 in number plus 20 soap making a total of 80 tablets for 23 000 francs., Fiscal cash of 80 000 francs was given to the children of which each of them had 1 000 francs for their transport to and from the field during and after 11th February (Youth Day). As For the 4 bags of rice, one bag was shared to 20 children.
This means that one child took home 1 000 francs, 12 cups of rice and a tablet of soap. In addition, 2nd hand clothes were also distributed to them from a well-wisher and MAOH. Some books were also given to some children especially those in High Schools Out of the many children already identified in our Community, we succeeded giving the needs to 80 children and the rest of the children to be considered when next we are able to receive some funds any Well Wisher who will like to do charitable work or to children left in the Community and needs help. Please Father, if you and your Parishioners can help sensitize the public to look at our website and perhaps assist we will be very grateful. This is because, what we are doing is a continuous process.
